(2012b) Unbounded Praxeology

Texto enviado para o 4o Vernon Smith Prize da ECAEF.

A. Summary:

Mises (1996, cap. xiv) has stated that economics is the best developed branch so far of a more general science – “praxeology”. In this essay, we shall try to summarize some key fundamental issues concerning the application of praxeological reasoning to the study of aspects of human interaction other than standard catallactic theorems. Those aspects will include some features of a positive theory of property rights and emergence of law codes. Building on that, we shall theorize on why a statist-democratic system particularly fosters a mutant fiat legislation environment. At the end, we shall provide a graphic schematic representation of our arguments.
